Biochar as a soil conditioner for common bean plants
نویسندگان
چکیده
Biochar is a carbon-rich material produced during organic waste pyrolysis. In this context, two experiments were performed to evaluate the effect of biochar from rice husks and cattle manure on soil fertility common bean production, as well identify optimal dose be applied. The first experiment (Experiment I) was conducted according completely randomized design (factorial scheme 2 × + 1) with six replicates: types (cattle husk biochar), without acidity correction [addition calcium carbonate magnesium (PA) in proportion 4:1 (Ca:Mg) raise base saturation 60%], or addition 120 mg dm-3 phosphorus (P) ammonium phosphate, control treatment (without biochar, correction, P). Based results Experiment I, second design, five treatments (doses manure) four replications. Rice conditioner chemical properties, had less prominent effects than biochar. Cattle functioned corrective for source nutrients (mainly phosphorus). corresponding 5.46% volume led maximum grain production by plants.

Soil carbon sequestration and biochar as negative emission technologies.
Despite 20 years of effort to curb emissions, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions grew faster during the 2000s than in the 1990s, which presents a major challenge for meeting the international goal of limiting warming to <2 °C relative to the preindustrial era. Most recent scenarios from integrated assessment models require large-scale deployment of negative emissions technologies (NETs) to reach th...
متن کاملBiochar for soil remediation and land reclamation
Land reclamation generally relates to the improvement of soils degraded by human activities, for example construction and certain forms of agriculture. Soil remediation refers to the process of removing, neutralizing or reducing the toxicity of certain compounds, often left by human activities such as mining and industry. Each degraded and/or contaminated site is potentially unique in its chara...

Biochar is a stable carbon-rich by-product synthesized through pyrolysis/carbonization of plant- and animal-based biomass. An increasing interest in the beneficial application of biochar has opened up multidisciplinary areas for science and engineering. The potential biochar applications include carbon sequestration, soil fertility improvement, pollution remediation, and agricultural by-product...
متن کاملAgricultural plants and soil as a reservoir for Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected in 24% of the soil samples but in only 0.13% of the vegetable samples from various agricultural areas of California. The distribution of pyocin types of soil and vegetable isolates was similar to that of clinical strains, and three of the soil isolates were resistant to carbenicillin. Pseudomonas aeruginosa multiplied in lettuce and bean under conditions of h...
متن کاملProtective Role of Biochar in Different Soil Moisture for Prevent Soil Loss in Laboratory Conditions
The using of soil conditioners to water and soil conservation is essential and also, the effect study of soil moisture on the soil conservation process and its role on changing runoff, soil erosion and sediment yield is necessary for understanding and simulating the hydrologic response of soil. Therefore, the present study was carried with the aim of investigating the effect of biochar with amo...
